Preparing Your Trash
- Rinse and drain bottles, cans and containers and wrap any glass in heavy paper..
- Place with other household trash in plastic trash bags.
- Bundle old papers, flattened boxes, etc. into tight packages and tie.
- Close and tie all trash bags and place along with bundles into heavy plastic or metal
trash cans. Secure with watertight lids.
Placing Your Trash
- If a road runs behind your building, place the cans at the rear of your building, near
the edge of the roadway. The road must be open at two ends (no dead end), at least 11'
wide and with 12' overhead clearance.
- Otherwise, place cans at the curb on the sidewalk abutting your building.

the day prior to collection).
- Cans must be removed no later than 6:00 PM on the day trash is collected.
Limitations for Regular Collection
- Each can and its contents must weigh less than 50 pounds.
- Brush, tree trimmings, vines, etc. are limited to 4-foot lengths and must be tied in tight
bundles.
- Bad

inclement weather. If service is canceled, and you were due for a pick-up, it will be
made the following day if weather permits. If you have questions, call (302) 576-3879.
