Since 1988, Art on the Town aka “The Art Loop” has been a city-wide monthly (except January, July, and August) “loop” event that links an average of 35 venues who provide a multi-disciplinary arts experience.
Each Art on the Town venue hosts an opening night reception on the 1st Friday of the month where patrons can meet the exhibiting and performing artists. A shuttle bus is provided to take visitors around the “loop” that leaves from the after party location at 5:45 p.m. and returns at 8:30 p.m. for the after party festivities.
Beginning with the February issue, a new Art on the Town magazine will replace the current brochure. The magazine will be full color with images appearing directly next to gallery descriptions, a full map with a venue key, featured artist and curator of the month, artist opportunities, and local art news. The new format will allow the magazine to be displayed after the Art Loop and encourage those who missed the event to visit venues throughout the month.
FOR VENUES: To submit your information for each month's magazine, download the 2009 Art on the Town Information Form and Pricing Guide.
