R. Campbell Hay: Council Member 8th District

Councilman R. Campbell Hay was sworn in on January 4, 2007 as Wilmington City Council’s 8th Councilmanic District representative. Councilman Hay brings to Council a wealth of experience in the financial and legal fields. He is currently a Tax Compliance Manager at Vanguard.

Cam has a BBA in Finance from Georgia Southern University, and a law degree from Widener University School of Law. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

His community involvement expands from being a mentor to and an advocate for children and families in the Riverside Apartments in Wilmington, and the former Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School, a volunteer for the Friendship House in Wilmington, a YMCA Youth Soccer Coach, a Wilmington Little League T-ball Coach, a Delaware Civil Legal Clinic volunteer, a Vestry and board member at Immanuel Highlands Episcopal Church and a member of Council of the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware and its Executive Committee.

Councilman Hay is married to attorney Laura Hay, and they have two children, Charlie and James.
