The
Office of Constituent Services, as mandated in the City Charter,
was established by the mayor’s office and acts as an advocate for
Wilmington residents.
The Mayor shall
establish an agency in his office for receiving and answering all
requests for information about the city or its government.
Such agency shall also receive and investigate complaints concerning
operation of the city government.
One of the goals of the department
is to “improve the quality of life at the neighborhood level”.
This is done by responding to citizen complaints, questions and
requests in a timely and efficient manner. It is also the
goal of the Office of Constituent Services “to increase and/or improve
traditional City Services” by connecting citizens with the services
they seek and by identifying those areas that need improvement.
