City of Wilmington FY2014 Public Service Request for Proposals

The following is a message from Vaughn Watson, Program Administrator for the Department of Real Estate and Housing:

The RFP application deadline has passed. Proposals postmarked or submitted after March 20, 2013, 4:00 p.m. or to any location other than the one listed will be rejected without exception.

Proposals recommended for funding will be made available for a 30-day public comment period which will begin Thursday, April 4, 2013 and end on Thursday, May 2, 2013. Final awards will be announced following the comment period.

Due to a short window of time we have to began our 30-day comment period, we are sending email notification in advance of a formal written letter thanking you for your recent application for FY2014 Federal funding through the City of Wilmington.

All applications were carefully reviewed, evaluated and rated by an advisory review committee. While we would have liked to fund all the projects submitted, it was impossible to do so. However, we are happy to inform you that one or more of your projects have tentatively been recommended for funding as listed below. I stress that funding is tentative, because HUD has not yet informed the City of Wilmington of its FY 2014 Federal allocation and City Council has not yet approved our budget. In anticipation of a significant reduction in funding from the current year, we based our available funding on a 10% reduction in CDBG and HOPWA funds and a 5% reduction in ESG funds.
