Burglary 1st Degree

Last night, Monday, January 14, 2008 at approximately 10:45 p.m., Wilmington Police responded to the 2400 block of Washington Street in regards to a burglary that had just occurred. There, officers met with the 63 year old male victim who stated that he heard banging at the front door of his apartment building. When he went downstairs to answer the door, her was forced up against the wall by two suspects, one of which was brandishing a silver colored handgun. The victim immediately called to the residents in the first floor apartment for help and one of the suspects struck him in the head with the gun. Both suspects then ran up to his apartment, ransacked it and left without proceeds. The victim received a small laceration to his forehead. He was treated and released.

The suspects were described as two black males, one of which was wearing a white face mask, black hat and displayed a silver handgun.
