Missing Person

Wilmington Police Detectives are asking the public’s assistance in locating a 75 year old Wilmington man who is suffering from dementia and has a liver disease. William Gary Boom was last seen when he left his Linden Street home in Wilmington on Tuesday January 22, 2008 at 3:00 pm. According to his family, Mr. Boom had just been diagnosed with dementia and has made some suicidal threats. He is originally from Wellsborough, Pa and may be in route there. He also has been known to frequent Delaware Park.

He is operating a green 1995 Ford Escort with a dent on the driver’s side door bearing Delaware registration number 972917.

If anyone has information or recognizes this missing person, please call any police agency or 911. The Detective investigating this incident is Wilmington Police Detective Anthony Roundtree at 576-3650.
