Wilmington Man Shot Inside Car, Pronounced Dead

Yesterday evening (Sunday, February 28, 2010) at approximately 6:32 p.m., Wilmington Police were dispatched to the 100 block of N. Harrison Street in regards to a person shot inside a vehicle. There inside of a car, officers located a 25 year old Wilmington man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso area. He was transported to the Christiana Hospital where he was later pronounced dead at 7:08 p.m. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was inside of an older model Lincoln sedan along with possibly two other subjects. Apparently the victim was engaged in an argument with the men, resulting with the victim being shot once.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending fingerprint confirmation and family member notification.

The suspects were described as one black male and one Hispanic male wearing all dark clothing.

The investigation is continuing.
