Review Financial Impact on Pension Commission Recommendation

Following the March 12, 2026 Annual Pension Commission meeting, the Commission recommended a one time $1,000 payment to all City of Wilmington pensioners who were retired on or before December 31, 2019.

Pursuant to Section 39-6(c) of the Wilmington City Code, a follow up meeting is required because the recommendation exceeds zero dollars. The Committee will reconvene within 20 to 30 business days on April 13 at 2:30 p.m. to review the financial impact and determine whether to affirm, rescind, or lessen the recommendation.

This shall be the only agenda item, and the only action taken shall be as set forth herein.
