Celebrate Earth Day, Arbor Day, and Wilmington's 25th Anniversary as a "Tree City USA"
Learn about the value of trees, native plants, drinkable water, swimmable rivers, and alternative products from nearly 30 vendors offering green products, services and tips.
Attractions include food trucks, children’s craft tables, raffles, and a live WJBR radio broadcast.
Live music will be provided by local jazz vocalist Jackie Greggs and children’s entertainer Jerry “Crabmeat” Thompson.
Visitors can also take home a free plant and pick up other giveaway items while supplies last.
New this year will be a celebration of the successful first year of the Clean Waterways Wilmington student art contest. Winners will be awarded prizes and certificates of achievement. These students’ artwork will also be on display in the children’s tent.
Sponsored by the Department of Public Works and coordinated by the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary, this is the largest Earth Day event of its kind in Delaware.
The celebration will be held rain or shine.
