Rite of Passage: City Restaurant Week Returns this Spring
Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki is pleased to share the following news release about the upcoming City Restaurant Week and encourages citizens to patronize one or more of the participating establishments.
Wilmington, Del. - Springtime in Wilmington marks many traditions and one of the best is City Restaurant Week. This culinary event invites locals and travelers alike to experience the best of the city’s dining scene. The result is a menu of 17 restaurants offering guests an inviting selection of international cuisine -- from Thai to Italian to Japanese. Chefs look forward to creating special menus that showcase their culinary talents while owners invite diners to sample the unique cuisine of these fine dining spots with prix-fixe options of $15 for lunch and $35 for dinner.
This year marks the 14th annual City Restaurant Week, which will begin Monday, April 16, and continue through Saturday, April 21.
“City Restaurant Week enables us to create fresh menus for the spring, plus it puts emphasis on trying new things and new restaurants within our community,” says Dan Butler, owner, of Piccolina Toscana. “CRW is a reminder that this city has remarkable dining options in close proximity to one another.”

The participating restaurants will offer two-course lunch menus for $15 and three-course dinner menus for $35. The restaurants include: 8th & Union Kitchen, Bank’s Kitchen & Raw Bar, Café Mezzanotte, Chelsea Tavern, Columbus Inn, Domaine Hudson, Ernest and Scott Taproom, Gallucio’s Italian Restaurant, The Green Room at the Hotel duPont, La Fia Bistro, Merchant Bar, Mikimotos Asian Grill + Sushi Bar, Piccolina Toscana, Tonic Bar and Grille, Ubon Thai Cuisine,Walter’s Steakhouse and Washington Street Ale House.
