City Government Offices Will Be Closed Tuesday, November 6; Recyclables Collection Schedule is Modified

Wilmington City government offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in observance of Election Day. As a result, the Department of Public Works’ Sanitation Division will collect recyclables on a modified holiday schedule:

  • Monday, November 5: East of I-95 recycling collection
  • Tuesday, November 6: No collection of recyclables (including leaves and yard waste)
  • Wednesday, November 7: West of I-95 recycling collection

Trash collection will continue as regularly scheduled on Thursday, November 8 for areas east of I-95, and on Friday, November 9 for areas west of I-95. Sanitation crews will resume their scheduled leaf and yard waste collections on Wednesday, November 7.
