City Government Offices Will Be Closed Friday, April 19; Trash Collection Schedule is Modified

Wilmington City government offices will be closed on
Friday, April 19, 2019, for the City’s observance of Good Friday. As a result, the Department of Public Works’ Sanitation Division will collect trash on a modified holiday schedule:
Thursday, April 18: East of I-95 trash collection
Friday, April 19: No collection
Saturday, April 20: West of I-95 trash collection

NEWS: The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) has announced that starting at 10pm on Friday, May 29, there will be a temporary four-day closure of Martin Luther King Boulevard between North Jackson Street and North Adams Street to allow for the demolition of an on-ramp to southbound I-95 over Lancaster Avenue. The boulevard is scheduled to reopen at 5am on Monday, June 1, weather permitting.
