Mayor Purzycki urges residents to beat COVID by getting vaccinated and tested, and not becoming complacent

Mayor Mike Purzycki today said it is still very important for City residents to take all necessary steps to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Even though pandemic-related restrictions are being eased, the Mayor said we will make better progress returning to more normal conditions if we continue to get vaccinated, boosted, and tested for the virus. He urged residents to follow announced guidelines until the virus threat is reduced even further. Mayor Purzycki said the City government is pleased to share the following information about vaccine availability and testing:

FREE COVID Vaccines:

FREE COVID Testing:
 
City residents can be tested FREE for COVID-19 next week at test locations in and around Wilmington. For more information or to find the site nearest to you, visit either:

Also, on the first Friday and Saturday of each month the 9^th Ward Interfaith Clergy Coalition will host Curative COVID-19 testing at City of Love Church, 2200 North Market Street, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. For more information, contact La Vaida Owens-White, MSN, RN, at (302) 547-3227 or email cokparish@aol.com.
