City Government Offices Will Be Closed Thursday, June 19 for Juneteenth; Trash Collection Schedule is Modified

Juneteenth Revised Sanitation Schedule 2025

Wilmington City government offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in observance of Juneteenth. As a result, the Department of Public Works’ Sanitation Division will collect trash on a modified holiday schedule:

  • Monday, June 16: East of I-95 trash collection
  • Tuesday, June 17: West of I-95 trash collection
  • Thursday, June 19: City holiday / NO collection
  • Friday, June 20: East of I-95 recyclables collection
  • Saturday, June 21: West of I-95 recyclables collection
