City Government Offices Will Be Closed Thursday, January 1; Collection Schedule is Modified

New Years Sanitation Schedule

Wilmington government offices will be closed on Thursday, January 1 for New Year's Day. As a result, the Department of Public Works’ Sanitation Division will collect trash and recyclables on a modified holiday schedule.
 
The modified holiday schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, December 29: East of I-95 trash collection
  • Tuesday, December 30: West of I-95 trash collection
  • Wednesday, December 31: No collection
  • Thursday, January 1: No collection
  • Friday, January 2: East of I-95 recycling collection
  • Saturday, January 3: West of I-95 recycling collection
