Mayor Carney Executive Order 2025-03

America's 250th Anniversary

On July 5, 2025, Mayor Carney signed an Executive Order establishing the Wilmington Planning Committee for America's 250th Anniversary.

Task Force on Homelessness

On March 20, 2025 following his FY2026 Budget Address, Mayor Carney signed an Executive Order establishing the City of Wilmington Task Force on Homelessness.

Census 2020 Complete Count Committee

On January 22, 2019 Mayor Purzycki established the Census 2020 Complete Count Committee for the purpose of mobilizing and leveraging internal and external resources to ensure an accurate census count.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Hurricane Ida

Mayor Purzycki signed two executive orders pertaining to the flooding, property damage, and dangerous conditions that resulted when the remnants of Hurricane Ida swept through the city on September 1, 2021.
